Min of Water and Envir & UNDP (2014) Uganda Mt EbA Communications Strategy

This Communications Strategy was comissioned by the Ministry of Water and Environment, with support from UNDP Uganda, under the auspices of the global Mountain EbA Programme in Uganda. The goal of this Communication Strategy is to increase awareness, knowledge, and adoption of EbA among vulnerable communities of the Mt. Elgon ecosystem which will ultimately improve the livelihoods of the local communities who depend on the natural resources of this ecosystem.

The strategy is grounded in a comprehensive analysis of the communication needs of the overall EbA programme and forms the basis for setting the communication objectives and targets. The analysis of existing communications related to EbA in the Mt. Elgon area was undertaken to determine how best to support and complement the activities of the implementing partners.
